Established in February 1999 in the renowned Ribera del Duero winemaking region of Spain, AALTO was founded by Mariano Garcia and Javier Zaccagnini with the goal of creating a wine that embodies a unique personality, high quality, and a true expression of diverse terroirs. Their approach involves blending wines from different locations at the end of the aging process to achieve balance and complexity. In 2006, the project gained further strength when the Masaveu and Nozaleda families, who own wineries in other Spanish wine regions, joined AALTO, bringing valuable experience and stability to the winery, which has continued to thrive ever since.
