Domaine Geantet-Pansiot, located in the commune of Gevrey-Chambertin, was founded in 1954 by Edmond Geantet and Bernadette Pansiot. Though discreet, the family-run winery has gained renown for its exceptional wines. Over the years, it has expanded to include 22 hectares of vines, planted on limestone and clay-limestone soils, and farmed using sustainable agricultural practices. Today, the estate is managed by Fabien, son of Vincent and grandson of Edmond. The wines produced by the Geantet family in the Côte de Nuits are celebrated for their outstanding quality.

TASTING NOTES
The wine has a ruby colour and opens with rich aromas of plummy bramble, mulberries, black licorice, and earthy soil, evoking the sweetness of blackcurrant pastilles and blackberry gummies. On the palate, it is medium-bodied with chewy blackberry flavours, black licorice, and raspberry jam, balanced by a streak of acidity and subtle clove spices. The fruit is bold yet supple, with a muscular yet supple structure, great depth, and minerality on the finish. The long, persistent finish evolves with a minty freshness, leaving behind rich notes of blackcurrant gummies and black licorice.
