Nestled among the rolling vineyards of Wintzenheim in Alsace, Domaine Josmeyer has been producing wines for five generations, dating back to 1854. The 25-hectare estate spans 90 plots, including prized parcels in the renowned Grand Cru sites of Hengst and Brand, known for their exceptional wine production for centuries. Today, sisters Céline and Isabelle oversee the Domaine, having embraced biodynamic practices since 2000. The hand-harvested grapes are gently crushed and allowed to rest in century-old wooden casks, where they ferment naturally at their own pace. The wines are left on their lees for several months during winter.

TASTING NOTES
This dry Pinot Gris is a true tribute to the earth, defined by its robust and full-bodied structure. The wine reveals earthy aromas, with notes of forest, hazelnuts, bakery, or even saline and sappy hints. On the palate, the wine's earthy character, closely tied to its fruit, offers a long and persistent finish, supported by a smooth yet restrained acidity. The pronounced salinity enhances the wine’s texture, which continues to evolve and bloom after a few minutes of aeration.
