Harrow and Hope is a family-owned boutique winery, specialising in world-class sparkling wines, located in Marlow, Buckinghamshire, UK. The estate’s single-family vineyard boasts a unique soil composition of flint gravel and thick orange clay over chalk, providing the perfect conditions for Chardonnay, Pinot Noir, and Pinot Meunier to flourish. Henry Laithwaite, who grew up immersed in wine culture, embarked on his first vineyard project at Chateau Verniotte in Bordeaux. Alongside his wife, Kaye, they returned to the UK in 2010 to raise their family, inspired by the growing wine scene in England, which led to the creation of Harrow and Hope.
The winery produces exceptional non-vintage Brut Reserve, as well as vintage-dated Rosé, Blanc de Noirs, and Blanc de Blancs. Erik Asimov of the New York Times has lauded English sparkling wine for its “spirited, glowing acidity and orchard-fruit freshness,” describing Harrow and Hope’s wines as “savory and harmonious.”
In 2019, Harrow and Hope was honored with the title of UK Winery of the Year, and their Brut Reserve received a perfect 5/5 rating from The Sunday Times.
