In 1988, the winery was acquired by La Rioja Alta, marking a significant turning point in its development. Since then, substantial investments have been made to modernize the facility, making it state-of-the-art in terms of equipment. Situated in the southern section of the Rias Baixas, the estate’s vineyards benefit from warmer conditions, leading to early ripening and optimal grape development. The hilly terrain and poor soils in this region result in low yields of grapes with exceptional quality. With 42 hectares of vineyards, the winery holds the largest landholding in the appellation, contributing 80% of the grapes used in production. Lagar de Cervera, the flagship wine of this estate, has earned acclaim as one of the finest in the region and proudly represents the forefront of the Rosal subzone within the appellation.

TASTING NOTES
Displaying a vibrant yellow hue accented by hints of green, this wine presents a clean aroma characterised by a robust varietal intensity. Abundant notes of pear and apple, alongside nuances of citrus fruit, orange zest, and subtle hints of tropical and stone fruit, typical of Albariño, contribute to its aromatic profile. On the palate, it offers a fresh, fleshy texture with a full-bodied mouthfeel. The finish is lingering and well-balanced.
