The Mocali estate was acquired 50 years ago by Mister Ciacci Dino, one of the 25 founders of the “Consorzio del Brunello di Montalcino.” He was the grandfather of the current owner, Ciacci Tiziano. Located southwest of Montalcino at an altitude of 350 meters, the MOCALI estate is accessible by a 2 km dirt road winding through Mediterranean forest dominated by oaks and arbutus. Upon arrival, visitors are greeted with a stunning view of the Montalcino valley vineyards, with the scenic slopes of Monte Amiata stretching to the Maremma in the distance.

TASTING NOTES
The wine opens with earthy aromas, evoking freshly tilled soil, leather, and game, with a subtle hint of dark berry adding depth. On the palate, it’s direct and well-defined, offering rich flavours of black cherry jam, warm clove, and smoky tobacco. These flavours are grounded by firm, structured tannins that add a bold character and complexity to each sip, promising further development with time.
