Orpheus and the Raven is the creation of two friends — Brenden Schwartz and Etienne Louw — under their collaborative label, The Vinoneers. Brenden, the founder of Bravo Design, and Etienne, a seasoned winemaker and musician, conceived the brand as an expression of their alter egos, blending storytelling, philosophy, and wine. Inspired by mythology, Orpheus — the master of poetry and song — embodies vision and creativity, while the Raven, a nod to the Schwartz family name, represents support and encouragement. Together, they reflect the spirit of their partnership and the essence of their wines.

TASTING NOTES
Aromas of ripe plum and black cherry lead on the nose, supported by subtle toasty oak, spice, and floral notes. Layers of pepper, liquorice, and a hint of dill add complexity. On the palate, the wine is silky and refined, opening with vibrant cherry fruit, followed by savoury hints of fried porcini, leather, and sandalwood. Fine, velvety tannins and well-integrated oak round off the long, elegant finish.
