Orpheus and the Raven is the creation of two friends — Brenden Schwartz and Etienne Louw — under their collaborative label, The Vinoneers. Brenden, the founder of Bravo Design, and Etienne, a seasoned winemaker and musician, conceived the brand as an expression of their alter egos, blending storytelling, philosophy, and wine. Inspired by mythology, Orpheus — the master of poetry and song — embodies vision and creativity, while the Raven, a nod to the Schwartz family name, represents support and encouragement. Together, they reflect the spirit of their partnership and the essence of their wines.

TASTING NOTES
A youthful green tint gives way to a pale golden core. On the nose, vibrant aromas of nectarine, quince, ripe orange, nartjie, grapefruit, and delicate floral notes unfold, lifted by a hint of sea salt. The palate is textured and creamy, thanks to ripe fruit, oak, and lees contact, balanced by a fresh salinity and subtle herbal hints of fennel and lime leaf. Bright acidity and a pithy, lemon-curd-like texture shape the wine’s structure, leading to a long, chalky finish with lingering citrus and floral nuances.
