Orpheus and the Raven is the creation of two friends — Brenden Schwartz and Etienne Louw — under their collaborative label, The Vinoneers. Brenden, the founder of Bravo Design, and Etienne, a seasoned winemaker and musician, conceived the brand as an expression of their alter egos, blending storytelling, philosophy, and wine. Inspired by mythology, Orpheus — the master of poetry and song — embodies vision and creativity, while the Raven, a nod to the Schwartz family name, represents support and encouragement. Together, they reflect the spirit of their partnership and the essence of their wines.

TASTING NOTES
This wine shows a medium-yellow colour with a golden glow, hinting at its richness. The nose is perfumed and layered, revealing notes of lychee, lemongrass, finger lime, citrus nougat, tinned apricots, rose petals, preserved lemon, and macadamia butter, with subtle hints of jasmine and baby apricots. On the palate, vibrant acidity balances the wine’s opulent fruit, delivering flavours that echo the nose. Full and textured yet poised, it finishes with a mineral edge, a touch of pithy grip, and a savoury, briny twist.
