Yangarra Estate is an award-winning biodynamic vineyard situated on the eastern side of the McLaren Vale region in South Australia.
Spanning 250 acres, Yangarra Estate is planted with Southern Rhône and Mediterranean varieties, including Tempranillo. The estate is distinguished by a variety of soil types, including ironstone, gravel, clay, loam, and wind-blown sands, with chunks of petrified wood scattered throughout.
Peter Fraser’s winemaking philosophy is centered around the estate’s original dry-farmed bush vines, planted in 1946. Yangarra Estate wines are both powerful and nuanced, offering a cooler expression of McLaren Vale, thanks to the elevation and the cooling evening breezes.
